¿Cómo encontré placer en la creación de un modelo de vida en la pequeña finca familiar, que a los hijos les entusiasmara y los hiciera parte de un proyecto espiritual que, además, también convierte el acto de producir sus alimentos en una obra de arte, expuesta diariamente sobre una mesa donde entre todos vemos, olemos y saboreamos? Todos los días convertimos la acción de alimentarnos, en familia, en momentos en los que nos comemos una obra de arte. Esa es la dicha que quiero compartir y explicar cómo puede tener lógica un modo de vida tan sencillo, y que atrae a tantas personalidades del mundo a vivir nuestra experiencia. La independencia, los principios y la ética son algo que defiendo desde que tuve razón de ser, casi que con eso como tesoro se puede vivir a agua y azúcar como decían los abuelos. Me crie entre isleños canarios que emigraron a Cuba siendo niños y que jamás, en su gran mayoría, volvieron a ver a sus padres ni al resto de sus familiares. El grado de exigencia hacia los hijos, después, tuvo esa base, lo que ellos pasaron. Hoy, ya como adulto mayor, encuentro de dónde viene mi porfía, la economía en la que creo, lo que me he exigido siempre qué es tener. De lo que hablo es un capital muy costoso de construir y, normalmente, hay que descender a una escala don

de el común de la sociedad no puede imaginar que se pueda vivir tan bien y a plenitud, y con tan poco, y menos creer que a tal escala haya orgullo y creatividad para componer, escribir o filosofar al nivel real de las cosas. Por necesidad, o con la necesidad como excusa, bajé tanto que me encontré con el principio. Algo parecido debe haberles sucedido a los seres humanos que huyendo de la extinción llegaron a nuevos lugares donde la agricultura esperaba por ellos. Hoy, devolviéndole la vida a la finca que heredamos en total deterioro y con infraestructura cero, hemos comprendido que se vive mucho en total desperdicio, trabajando para satisfacer necesidades que nos han creado, autocastigando nuestras verdaderas satisfacciones. La clave está en la familia viviendo en pequeñas fincas agroecológicas, con ética y con el auxilio de la permacultura y las fuentes renovables de energía.

How did I find pleasure in creating a model of life in the small family farm, that the children were excited about and made them part of a spiritual project that, in addition, also turns the act of producing their food into a work of art, exposed daily on a table where we all see, smell and taste? Every day we convert the action of feeding ourselves, as a family, in moments when we eat a work of art. That is the happiness that I want to share and explain how such a simple way of life can have logic, and that attracts so many personalities of the world to live our experience. Independence, principles and ethics are something that I have defended since I had reason to be,  with that as a treasure you can live with water and sugar as the grandparents said. I grew up among Canarian islanders who migrated to Cuba as children and who, for the most part, never saw their parents or the rest of their relatives again. The degree of exigency towards the children, later, had that basis, what they went through. Today, as an older adult, I find where my stubbornness comes from, the economy I believe in, what I have always demanded of myself to have. What I am talking about is a very expensive capital to build and, normally, you have to descend to a scale where

from the common of society cannot imagine that one can live so well and fully, and with so little, let alone believe that on such a scale there is pride and creativity to compose, write or philosophize at the real level of things. With necessity as an excuse, I went so low that I found the beginning. Something similar must have happened to human beings who, fleeing extinction, came to new places where agriculture waited for them.

Today, we are giving life back to the farm that we inherited in total deterioration and without infrastructure, we have understood that sometimes we live in total waste, working to satisfy the needs that have created us, self-punishing our true satisfactions. The key is in the family living in small agro-ecological farms, ethically and with the help of permaculture and renewable energy sources.
